Rachel Jerry

Hey everyone! I'm Rachel Jerry from Ladysmith. First and foremost, I'm a follower of Jesus Christ and my desire is to live my life as a servant ready for His use. My husband is Chris and our children are CJ, Lilah, and Graham. This will be our first year of homeschooling!

I was homeschooled myself for 3 years, went to a Christian school for 5 years, and then went to public school from 8th grade on up; so I have first-hand experience with a variety of schooling options. I knew from my experience that I would want my children to either be homeschooled or attend a Christian school. We have chosen to homeschool because we believe that we, as the parents, we are the most qualified to train our children up in the ways of the Lord, including their academics. I'm very aware of how lonely and isolating homeschooling can feel, and that is why Liz and I felt so strongly that we needed to create a community for homeschool families to connect and support each other!

Here are some of my interests, skills, experience, etc.:

-Early Childhood Education associate degree plus over a decade of experience working and volunteering in the early childhood space.

-Administrative Professional associate degree. I love clerical work, organization, and structure.

-I'm the Children's Ministry Director at Living Faith Church and teach in the two to five year old class.

-I'm taking my 8 years of dance traning, experience from four seasons of preschool dance teaching, and love for our Holy God to develop Christ-centered, worship dance classes.

-I am a graduate and valedictorian of Fire and Grace School of Ministry.

I can't wait to get to know you and your families more this year and see what the Lord will do in this community!
