This course focuses on the story of the Festival of Dedication or Hanukkah as recorded in the Books of Maccabees and why it is an important story to learn whether you observe the celebration or not. In one of the classes we talk about some traditions that are associated with this Festival and the history behind them, including who started them and when they started. We compare modern traditions to what is actually in the scriptures.
